As a testament to Sonya’s Garden’s continued success, their offerings now include a bed and breakfast. Its popularity never waned despite the obscure signage and it is still recommended to reserve in advance. Sonya’s Garden still has its set menu of fresh green salad but is now peppered with edible flowers. Look out for the sunflower look-alike especially if you like your food spicy. Their pasta comes in red and white sauce with a choice of multiple toppings like capers, mushrooms, shrimps and olives. You’re sure to leave Sonya’s feeling full and satiated and that’s because everything from their delicious homemade Caesar Salad Dressing, Bag of Beans bread with four dips (pesto, kesong puti, anchovies and sun-dried tomatoes) and refreshing Dalandan juice garnished with mint are refillable (and mind you, each table already comes equipped with two pitchers of juice). The dessert is simple and sweet camote-cue and the tea with one sprig of tarragon is like a hot, unsweetened version of root beer. Yum. You can also request for roast chicken in advance, which is big, plump and juicy-hot-from-the-oven.
